ISO 13485:2016 certification

ISO 13485:2016

ISO 13485:2016 identifies requirements for a QMS for businesses that provide medical devices and related services to ensure customer needs and applicable regulatory requirements are consistently met. Compliant organizations can be involved in any product lifecycle stages including design and development, production, storage and distribution, installation, and/or servicing of a medical device (e.g. technical support). ISO 13485:2016 may also be required of suppliers or external vendors that provide product materials. Wherever there are outlined requirements applying to medical devices, the ISO 13485:2016 requirements apply equally to all related services as provided by the organization.

NIST 800-171 certification

NIST 800-171 // Compliant

NIST 800-171 provides recommended requirements for protecting the confidentiality of controlled unclassified information (CUI). All defense contractors must implement these requirements in order to demonstrate adequate security measures necessary to protect confidential defense information as outlined in their defense contracts. If a manufacturer is part of a DoD, General Services Administration (GSA), NASA or other federal or state agencies’ supply chain, the implementation of the security requirements included in NIST 800-171 is required.

ITAR certification

ITAR

International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) control the export and import of defense-related products and services on the United States Munitions List (USML). The U.S. Government requires that all manufacturers, exporters, and brokers of defense articles, services, or related technical data be ITAR compliant. To be ITAR compliant, a company must be registered with the State Department’s Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) agency. The compliant company is responsible for certifying that they operate in accordance with ITAR requirements prior to being accepted as a supplier for the USML.
